Satomi Asakura
I have worked as designer of architecture since graduation of Kyoto Institute of Technology.
In 2016 I was taking a picture for ceramic works.
I have begun to make an artwork since 2018.
In
those days, I mainly took photographs of city landscapes and I used print (paper) medium for my photographs. Then I changed my mind and became interested in natural phenomenon and human
recognition and I started making objects. In my second object called "What I see", I first used moving images (actual film plus animation). For some time, in my daily life, I thought it would be
ideal to create works of art. So making moving images has been the best medium for my character and my environment. After that, I have made animations by still pictures and drawings. When I
express the natural phenomenon, I think about the layered time of human beings and the influence on feelings by light.
